Northgate Realty was founded nearly 20 years ago, inspired by the neighborhoods along DC’s upper 16th Street—Shepherd Park, Colonial Village, and N. Portal Estates—collectively known as the “North Gate” into the city.

Since its founding, Northgate Realty has expanded to serve clients throughout the DMV—Washington DC, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Missing our kid and grandkids,  we moved back to the US and decided to buy a house. We called on Lee to help us look for our dream house. My wife and I were promptly informed by Lee that if we waited few weeks we will have the pleasure of working with a duo team of Lee and Angela. (They were going to get married on March 4.) Meanwhile, my wife and I were put in touch with a mortgage company to help us with the financial side of things. Lee and Angela hit the ground running. We found our dream house after three weeks of looking and going to all the neighborhoods we were interesting in. Lee's depth of experience of the DMV real estate market and Angela knowledge of the different neighborhoods in Montgomery county was valuable and made the experience a fun and painless. I was a first-time home buyer and Angela guided me through the process flawlessly.  She was available day and night, showed me houses and neighborhoods that suited me but I hadn’t found myself, and truly cared about finding a place for me that I would be happy in. She didn’t pressure me into closing a sale as some realtors do.  In fact, she cautioned me not to sign the dotted line when I was wowed with the aesthetics of a place without reviewing all of the disclosures first. Great advice on common house problems and their future ramifications.

Angela was a shark with negotiations too.  She got my closing costs paid by the seller and negotiated other concessions. I was very satisfied with all of her referrals- home inspector, title company, home warranty, interior decorator, etc.
